Protecting northwest Ottawa, Kanata-Carleton largely follows metropolis limits for its dividing traces. Its southeastern nook is a little bit of a jigsaw puzzle with Carleton, Nepean and Ottawa West–Nepean.
Defending the seat is Liberal MPP Karen McCrimmon, the previous Liberal MP for the world who received a 2023 byelection triggered when PC cupboard minister Merrilee Fullerton resigned.
The driving had been held by Conservatives for many years. McCrimmon received by about 650 votes.

Nominations shut Feb. 13.

Dave Belcher, NDP
Belcher is a former educator and works for a lecturers’ union.
Karen McCrimmon, Liberal
McCrimmon was a member of the Canadian Armed Forces and served as senior employees officer at NATO Air Headquarters. In 2004, she accomplished a tour of obligation in Afghanistan.
She was MP from 2015 till 2021.
Scott Phelan, PC
Phelan is an Ottawa Catholic College Board trustee within the space.
