An Ontario mom who was killed in entrance of her kids at a park within the nation’s capital is one other case of femicide, Ottawa police say.

On Thursday at round 11:25 a.m., police responded to studies a girl had been stabbed at a park close to Uplands and Paul Anka drives in Ottawa.

Deputy Chief Trish Ferguson informed reporters Friday 36-year-old Brkti Berhe, a mom of 4, had been within the park with two of her kids when the assault occurred.

“Tragically, she succumbed to her injuries that morning in front of two of her children,” Ferguson mentioned.

“Witnesses on scene quickly came to Brkti’s aid helping to protect the children and provide detailed description of the suspect who fled by car.”

A suspect was seen fleeing in a automobile and was arrested on Freeway 417 outdoors of Ottawa close to Exit 66. Fsha Tekhle, 36, of Montreal, has been charged with first-degree homicide.
