A possible bomb risk in opposition to an elementary faculty in japanese Ontario has been deemed unfounded, in line with the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP).
The investigation began by the Gananoque Police Service (GPS) Thursday after police acquired a report alleging a youth had indicated they had been conscious of a risk directed towards the Thousand Islands Elementary College (TIES) throughout a dispute involving different youth people, police say.
That was when TIES and Gananoque Intermediate Secondary College had been positioned below a Maintain-and-Safe process, as a precautionary measure.
The OPP and Gananoque Police decided that “there was no actual risk,” noting that it “had been a miscommunication.”
Police take all threats critically.
The OPP is reminding folks of the significance of phrases, noting that some phrases can have severe implications.
