A crash on a highway west of Ottawa on Sunday resulted in the deaths of both drivers.
This incident took place shortly after 5:15 p. m. on Highway 62 close to Bancroft, roughly 220 kilometres west of Ottawa.
The drivers were both in their 40s. One hailed from Mount Brydges, a small community in southwestern Ontario, and was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the OPP.
The other driver was from Wollaston Township and was taken to the hospital where they were later pronounced dead.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
