OTTAWA — Ottawa police say 14 folks have been arrested and three extra are sought in an investigation into alleged organized crime and narcotics trafficking.
Police say a complete of 149 charges have been laid within the investigation, dubbed Mission Champion, together with some for tried homicide, drug trafficking and assault.
They are saying 13 of the suspects face charges associated to collaborating in or supporting a legal group.
The suspects are between the ages of 26 and 39.
Police say 5 weapons and 6.5 kilograms of cocaine had been seized as a part of the investigation, in addition to a “small quantity” of crack cocaine.
Ottawa police Chief Eric Stubbs says most of the suspects got here to officers’ consideration by investigations centered on violent crimes akin to homicides and shootings.
