Stabbing Incident in Oshawa Leads to Arrest

Stabbing Incident in Oshawa Leads to Arrest

A woman was stabbed near downtown Oshawa early Sunday morning, resulting in aggravated assault charges.

Durham Regional Police responded to an assist ambulance call at Simcoe Street and John Street at 1:40 a. m. Sunday after reports of the stabbing came in.

Officers reached the scene and initiated life-saving efforts on the victim. She was taken to a trauma center in Toronto with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. Shortly after, police found the suspect and arrested her without any issues.

Rylee Caitlyn Millar, 27, with no fixed address, faces charges of aggravated assault and possession of a dangerous weapon.

She is being held pending a bail hearing.
