The City of Oshawa has received applications from RG Consulting on behalf of 407 AT7 Centre for a large industrial development on Thornton Road.
The aim of these applications is to create an industrial draft plan of subdivision that suggests the establishment of 17 blocks. This includes 12 employment blocks, one stormwater management pond block, four open space blocks, and one arterial road along with two local roads, according to a city announcement.
Land currently designated as AG-A (Agricultural) is proposed to be rezoned into suitable zones to facilitate the draft plan of subdivision.
These applications need approval for a Draft Plan of Subdivision and also require an amendment to Zoning By-law 60-94 for the property located at 2860 Thornton Road North.
The city has confirmed that the applications are complete, and a notice for a public meeting under the Planning Act will be separately at a later date.
If residents wish to receive updates regarding the City of Oshawa’s decision about this proposed plan or zoning by-law change, they must submit a written request to the Commissioner, Economic and Development Services Department, 50 Centre Street South, Oshawa, Ontario L1H 3Z7.
