Durham Regional Police have recognized a girl who they allege was fatally stabbed by her husband at their dwelling in Oshawa over the weekend.


Officers had been known as to a house on Eulalie Avenue, within the space of King Avenue East and Ritson Street South, at round 12:30 a.m. on Nov. 17.


First responders discovered a girl inside the house with “traumatic injuries.” They carried out CPR and rushed her to a Toronto-area trauma centre, however she was pronounced deceased a short while later.


Police recognized the sufferer Monday as 48-year-old Parween Adel.


They stated her husband was taken into custody on the dwelling “without incident” Sunday.


Investigators stated 41-year-old Hakim Adel is now going through a cost of second-degree homicide.


Police beforehand stated that the couple’s two five-year-old youngsters had been at dwelling on the time of the stabbing, as was an aged woman.


“November is recognized as Intimate Partner Violence (IPV) Awareness Month, a time to raise awareness about IPV and its profound impact on individuals and communities,” police stated of their replace Monday. “IPV can take many forms, including physical harm, emotional abuse, verbal abuse, manipulation, financial control, and isolation from loved ones.”
