The City of Oshawa has rolled out a new online tool designed to assist local businesses in finding and applying for government and private sector funding. This initiative, created in collaboration with Fundica, an AI-based funding search platform, is now accessible on the city’s website.

With this tool, businesses in Oshawa can easily look for financial support programs that fit their unique requirements, making it simpler to discover relevant funding options.

This resource came about after gathering input from Oshawa Economic Development’s Business Retention and Expansion Program and direct talks with local entrepreneurs. During discussions with the city’s economic development team, Mayor Dan Carter, and Councillor Tito-Dante Marimpietri, who chairs the Economic Development Services Committee, business owners highlighted the need for an easy and centralized way to investigate funding-especially given recent global trade issues and U. S. tariffs.

Besides launching the Fundica tool, the city continues to engage with local businesses to understand how market conditions like tariffs are impacting their operations. Businesses are invited to fill out an online form to request a site visit and check out additional resources on Oshawa’s Tariffs webpage.

This effort shows Oshawa’s ongoing dedication to boosting its local economy and helping businesses stay resilient through innovative solutions and accessible resources.
