A person has been charged with first-degree homicide of one other man and a girl after a taking pictures at a house in Oshawa, Durham Regional Police say. 

Officers responded to the sound of gunshots at a house within the space of Jane Avenue and Glenforest Avenue Saturday round 12:35 p.m., Sgt. Joanne Bortoluss instructed reporters.

They situated a person affected by gunshot wounds. Bortoluss stated paramedics have been transporting him to hospital however he died earlier than he bought there.

Officers then discovered a few second house on Glenforest Avenue, the place they discovered a girl who had additionally been shot. She was pronounced deceased on the scene.

On Sunday, police recognized the victims as Patrick Montgomery, 42, and Andrieana Montgomery, 42.

A 30-year-old Oshawa man was arrested and charged with two counts of first-degree homicide. 

Bortuluss stated the suspect is understood to the 2 victims, however this isn’t a “domestic-related incident.”

“The motives behind this homicide just isn’t recognized right now and as a part of the continued investigation,” Bortoluss stated.

There isn’t any danger to public security right now, in line with police.
