Brody Cook, Kaedon Hawkins, and Braidy Wassilyn all found the net and added an assist each as the London Knights beat the Oshawa Generals 5-3 on Dec. 19 at Canada Life Place.
This victory marked London’s last home game before the holiday break.
Evan Van Gorp and Andoni Fimis both contributed with two assists during the Knights’ second win in three days.
Londoner Harrison Fransson kicked things off by scoring at 11:59 of the first period, deflecting a pass from Ben Cormier to give his team a 1-0 edge.
The Generals quickly took a 2-0 lead when Owen Griffin sped down the right wing and fired a shot just inside the post and below the crossbar at 14:47 of the first period.

Just 27 seconds later, Cook got London on the scoreboard, knocking in a pass from behind the net delivered by Hawkins, making it a close 2-1 at the end of the first period.
The Knights leveled things up in the second period thanks to an impressive individual play by Wassilyn.

The fourth overall pick in the 2024 OHL Priority Selection intercepted a puck just outside of London’s blue line. He powered his way down ice while shaking off a check to finish on his forehand for his 12th goal this season, tying it up at 2-2 after two periods. More on Sports More videos Ben Wilmott gave London their first lead at 4:03 into the third period as he redirected a shot off of Oshawa goalie Jaden Cholette into goal for a score of 3-2. A little later, Hawkins extended London’s advantage to 4-2 with his sixth goal this year after scooping up a loose puck following a blocked shot from Wassilyn’s attempt. This goal came at 8:53 into the final frame but only lasted for about twenty seconds before Griffin responded again with another goal to bring it back to within one at 4-3.
