Durham Regional Police are searching for a person who allegedly attacked a Black man with bear spray and uttered “derogatory racial slurs” whereas the sufferer was in his automotive in an Oshawa car parking zone in March.

In a information launch on Tuesday, police say they believed the assault to be a “hate/bias motivated” incident. The assault occurred on March 21 within the space of Gibb Road and Stevenson Highway South. Police have been known as to the realm at about 6:05 p.m.
