Over 200 locals visited the Oshawa Centre this week for a pop-up event aimed at raising awareness and educating people about human trafficking.

The event was held on February 19, thanks to a collaboration between the Durham police human trafficking unit and HT Coalition of Durham Region.

Members of the HT unit will also be involved in the “Knowledge is Power” awareness event organized by the Front Lint HT Coalition on February 24.

This upcoming event kicks off at 5:30 p. m. at Unifor Local 222 (1425 Phillip Murray Ave, Oshawa) and everyone is welcome to join.
