A pedestrian has been struck by a practice close to the city of Bowmanville east of Oshawa.
In a submit to X (previously Twitter), Durham Regional Police representatives indicated an ongoing street closure at Mearns Ave between Longworth Ave and Sprucewood Crescent.
INdurham reached out to Durham Area authorities to inquire concerning the nature of the closure.
ROAD CLOSURE: Mearns Ave will probably be closed between Longworth Ave & Sprucewood Cr, in Bowmanville, for an ongoing investigation.

Representatives with Durham Regional Police informed INdurham by way of e mail that, “At approximately 9:15 a.m., members of East Division responded to reports of a pedestrian struck by a train. Emergency services along with CP police are on scene at this time.”
On the time of publication, no updates have been offered on the standing of the pedestrian who was struck.
