It’s with profound unhappiness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Teresa Ann Forbes (nee Barrett) in her 68th yr of life. Cherished spouse of 41 years to Bif; loving mom of three, Robert (Melanie), Penny, and Tamara; and, proud grandmother of 4: Alexis, Camryn, Berkley, and Jack. Beloved eldest sister of 5 siblings: Eileen (Charlie), Pat (Susan), David (Rose), and Joan (Maurice). Teresa was a fun-loving daughter-in-law (Doreen), sister-in-law (Bruce, Scott, Carol), in addition to an aunt, great-aunt, and cousin to many all through Canada, the U.S. and the U.Okay. 

Teresa handed away on June 2, 2024, peacefully at her Kleinburg house, surrounded by her loving household after a 13 yr battle with most cancers. She was predeceased by her mother and father John (2012) and Ann (2024) Barrett.   

Teresa’s legacy is considered one of love, laughter, generosity, boundless positivity, and a zest for all times. Teresa might be missed by all who had the privilege of figuring out her however her spirit will ceaselessly echo within the hearts of these she touched. Teresa noticed the great in all folks and accepted them unconditionally with open arms.  

Teresa labored within the courtroom reporting enterprise for over 40 years. Her trailblazing profession began with 13 years on the Superior Court docket in Toronto and her remaining years have been as a contract reporter. Teresa obtained one of many highest nationwide accreditations in North America as a Registered Advantage Reporter which requires a formidable shorthand velocity of 260 phrases per minute.  

Whereas she travelled the world transcribing for high-profile litigation instances, Teresa was happiest on the cottage on Twelve Mile Bay the place she beloved kayaking and being within the firm of her prolonged cottage household.

Funeral Mass to be held on Monday June tenth, 2024, at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church (8500 Islington Ave. Woodbridge) at 10:30 a.m. Celebration of life reception to comply with mass service. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations could also be made to Canadian Most cancers Analysis Society or Princess Margaret Hospital.
