With nice disappointment we share the passing of Siiri Hellin Vesa (née Ojala), on the age of 97 on September 19, 2024. Siiri was a beloved spouse, sister, mom, grandmother (Mummu), great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother who touched the lives of many together with her kindness and power.
She might be lovingly remembered by her kids: Aila (Rudy), Allan (Bunny) & Aliisa (Jeff); grandchildren Timo (Kim), Anita (Ian), Kathy (Ron), Michelle (Dion), Micheal (Chandra), Asta (Stephen), Kaarina (Mike), and Annikki (Devin); great-grandchildren Aaron (Courteney), Kirsi (Emily), Colyn (Future), Matthew (Lisa), Eric (Ashley), Allayna, Annalyse, Maisie, Walker, Nicole & Caitlin; great-great grandchildren Jacoby, Jonathan, Brookes, Alexander & Benjamin and lots of different members of the family & buddies.
Siiri was born and raised in Finland, the eldest of 10 kids. She was married to her loving husband of 68 years, Reino Vesa, till his passing in 2013. In 1959, Siiri and her husband made the brave choice to maneuver to Canada, in search of to supply a greater life for his or her rising household. Collectively, they constructed a life full of love, exhausting work, and cherished recollections.
She labored as a machinist assistant at Customary Aero earlier than retiring to a peaceable cabin in Lac du Bonnet, the place she spent her days surrounded by nature and the fantastic thing about her gardens.
