November 17, 1964-January 6, 2026

We are heartbroken to share the sudden loss of our dear Sandy on January 6, 2026, while in Florida.

Born on November 17, 1964, Sandy was raised in a warm family by her parents James and Shirley, alongside her siblings Donna, Jimmy and Andrew. She took pride in where she came from and would often say “I’m from Westfort, Ontario!”.

Sandy went to Crawford and Heath Park elementary schools before graduating from Westgate high school in 1982. After graduation, she explored a few different jobs but found her place at Canada Car. However, after just a few years there, she started feeling restless and thought to herself “I can’t see myself behind this desk for another forty years!”. A coworker noticed how she felt and told her about a course at the college aimed at helping people discover their true passions. He suggested they take it together and Sandy eagerly agreed. Once she finished the course, she realized that becoming a realtor was her calling. Without fear of the challenges ahead, she informed her parents that she would be leaving her job to pursue real estate-a bold move at just twenty-five years old. Sandy achieved remarkable success as a top producer in Thunder Bay for several years running due to her positive energy and genuine care for others; many clients became lifelong friends.

In 2005, Sandy met Frank, the love of her life. They shared an incredible friendship as partners both personally and professionally. They cherished both quiet moments together as well as grand adventures around the world while creating lasting memories. By 2019, they decided to ease up on work commitments and enjoy semi-retirement during their last seven winters in Florida.

Sandy is survived by her loving partner Frank; mother Shirley; and siblings Donna, Jimmy and Andrew. She was preceded in death by her father James; grandparents Earl and Gertrude Herron; and grandparents Alex and Edith Stevenson.

A celebration of life will be organized later to honor Sandy’s memory.

You can share your condolences online at www. sargentandson. com.

We’ve lost a wonderful person whose light shone brightly in our lives. Sandy, you will always be missed and loved deeply.
