Ryan Kyle Rutledge, age 35, lost his life in a tragic accident on December 5, 2025, in Cambridge, Ontario. He was born on February 3, 1990, in Parry Sound, Ontario. Ryan was a source of light and laughter for everyone who knew him throughout his life. A proud graduate of Georgian College, Ryan became a certified 309A Electrician and built a successful career with an automation company. His skills and commitment to his work shone through in every project he tackled. Known for his sharp mind and determination, Ryan faced both work and life with passion and resolve. Many affectionately called him “Meets,” a nickname that stuck with him during countless hours of gaming-especially within the World of Warcraft community where he found friendship and joy. Gaming meant more to Ryan than just passing time; it was a true passion that connected him to friends from all over. He is survived by his girlfriend, Jecenta Duffy; his mother, Linda; his father Shawn (Dory); his sister Sierra (Malcolm); and his nephews Hugo and Warren. Ryan also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, and cousins who will deeply miss him. He was preceded in death by his grandparents. Those who knew Ryan will remember him as polite and helpful-a real “knight in shining armor.” His kindness was matched only by his stubbornness, which often showed the depth of his beliefs and loyalty to those he loved. May Ryan’s memory bring comfort to all who knew him and continue to inspire acts of kindness, courage, and connection. A celebration of life will take place in the new year with details announced on social media.
