Ronald “Ron” Lee Mc Mahon

With deep sorrow, we share the news of Ronald “Ron” Lee Mc Mahon from Chesterville, Ontario. At the age of 66, Ron peacefully left us at home on October 8, 2025, at 12:30 a. m., surrounded by his loving family and close friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Audrey (Helmer) Mc Mahon and Arnold Mc Mahon. He is survived by his devoted wife, Manon Villeneuve-Mc Mahon, and his brothers, Jim and Glen Mc Mahon. Ron will be fondly remembered by his stepchildren-Victoria, Kristopher, and Oliver-as well as his stepdaughter-in-law Stephanie and his adored granddaughters, Emily and Ainsley. He is also survived by many cousins and special friends who held a significant place in his heart.
Ron will be remembered for his kindness, humor, and generous nature-traits that impacted so many lives. He began working at the Finch COOP where he developed a strong work ethic before becoming a full-time farmer dedicated to nurturing both crops and animals.
One of Ron’s greatest pleasures was bringing people together to form lasting friendships filled with love, laughter, and memorable experiences. Whether gathered around the kitchen table or working out in the fields, Ron had an incredible ability to make everyone feel welcomed and valued. All who knew him will deeply miss him but hold onto warm memories.
The family wishes to extend heartfelt thanks to Dundas County Hospice, Champlain Regional Palliative Consultation, Ontario Health at Home, and Access Health Care Services for their outstanding care of Ron. Nurses Christopher, Rachel, Chelsea, and Rahjeer along with PSWs Yves and Cynthia displayed remarkable compassion during Ron’s time with them. We are also very grateful to Dr. Racine for his caring support and medical knowledge as well as for sharing his love of cars with Ron-a bond that meant so much to him. A special thank you goes out to Dr. Tom from palliative care whose guidance provided comfort to the family during Ron’s final days.
To the amazing Chemotherapy Unit and Medical Team at Winchester Hospital as well as Dr. Jonker and Dr. Fitzgibbons from the General Hospital Cancer Unit-thank you for your exceptional care during this challenging period in Ron’s life. Your dedication brought strength during such difficult times; we are truly thankful for everything you’ve done on this journey.

Funeral Arrangements

Friends may visit at Marsden Mc Laughlin Funeral Home in Williamsburg on Sunday, October 26th from 10 a. m., leading up to the memorial service at noon. A reception will follow at Cedar Glen Golf Club. Donations made to Dundas County Hospice would be sincerely appreciated in honor of Ron’s journey. If you’re making your donation online or via cheque directly to the charity please include this note with your gift: “Please notify the family.” Online condolences can be shared at marsdenmclaughlin. com.
