It’s with deep unhappiness we announce the passing of Wilbur Ross MacLean aged 82. Ross was a beloved husband, father, brother, and uncle who left us peacefully within the Palliative Care Unit on the Aberdeen Hospital on November 21, 2024.
Ross was a form, caring, and selfless man who acted as a caretaker for our prolonged household. Over his life, he additionally gave his time to the neighborhood by volunteering with the Eureka Volunteer Hearth Division, and by managing the books for St. Columba United Church in Hopewell.
After marrying his beloved spouse Bette on November 9, 1963, he lived and labored in Montreal, Calgary, New Glasgow, Truro, Inverness, and Stewiacke. He retired from the NSLC as a supervisor.
He constructed and loved spending time at two cottages in his life, solely giving up going to the cottage for a lot of the summer season when it turned too onerous to do the work of conserving it up himself.
He loved the quiet of fishing and searching. Looking journeys along with his brother Ed had been essential to him for the time they spent collectively.
Ross is survived by his spouse Elizabeth Anne (“Bette”), his son Mark, his sister Lela (Eldred) Fraser, his brother Ed (Cindy) MacLean, his nieces Kathleen Fraser, Lori Fraser, and Megan MacLean,, Joyce Blackwood, Carol Isherwood and Ann Blackwood Hewitt, his nephews Jamie Fraser and Ronnie Blackwood and his cousin Verda (Frank)Jackson.
Ross was predeceased by his dad and mom, Alver and Jeanette (Blackwood) MacLean, Eureka, NS, and by his brother Arthur (Skipper) Blackwood, Medication Hat, AB
Visitation will probably be from 12:00 pm till the time of the funeral service at 2:00 pm on Monday, November 25, 2024 within the H.C. MacQuarrie Funeral Chapel, Stellarton.
Burial will comply with within the MacLean Cemetery, Hopewell.
