Weili Xu, aged 63, passed away peacefully with her family by her side at The North Bay Regional Health Centre on Wednesday, November 5th, 2025. She was the loving wife of Raymond Cerkauskas for over 30 years and a proud mother to Cyrus and Sean. She was the dear daughter of Zhuichan Ma and Changping Xu and a cherished sister to Weiguang and brother Weike. Weili earned her Master’s in Chemistry from Brock University and began her career at Environment Canada at the Canada Centre for Inland Waters. Later, she worked at Agriculture Canada in Vineland and Harrow focusing on analytical chemistry related to fungicide residues, soybean quality, and soil analysis. She wrote one crime novel along with a best-selling travel guide about Taiwan, both in Mandarin. Gardening brought her joy; she especially loved perennial flowers and cooking delicious Chinese dishes for her family. Traveling to far-off places with her family was also important to her as it helped instill an appreciation for different cultures in her young sons.

Visitation will be held at Windsor Chapel – South (3048 Dougall Ave, 519-253-7236) on Wednesday November 12th 2025, from 4pm-8pm. Online condolences may be left at www. windsorchapel. com
