Dunn: Timothy, Arthur (Tim),

 

Tim entered the nearer presence of God with household by his facet in his eightieth yr at Niagara Falls Hospital on 23, August, 2024 after a sudden sickness.

 

Cherished husband of Mary Ann for over 57 years. Proud Dad to Sean (Cindy), Bob (Haley) and Heather (Richard). Devoted Grandad to Ryan (Emma), Brendon, Grace, Maddox, Timothy and wee Ruby Rose. Predeceased by father and mom Bob and Ruth Dunn and brother Robin.

Tim grew up in St.Catharines and spent his summers swimming on the household cottage on the Niagara Coast of Lake Ontario. As a youngster he delivered flowers for the household flower store, Dunn’s Florists, and labored as a lifeguard alongside together with his father at a public pool;  educating 1000’s of individuals swim. Tim took after his father, who swam throughout Lake Ontario, and began racing as a swimmer at an early age. Tim moved onto rowing and received the Calder Cleland Trophy rowing heavy 8 for St. Catharines Collegiate on the Henley Regatta.  This later influenced him to start out a rowing program at a secondary faculty.  Tim performed soccer at Western College the place he additionally studied English. He cherished all sports activities and coached hockey, soccer and rowing groups.  He by no means missed a dance recital. He loved taking time to drive his grandkids to practices and by no means missed one among their video games. Tim was an avid reader with an in depth library. He cherished woodcarving, poetry and music and performed the cello and Spanish guitar. Tim retired after educating English 31 years in Exeter and Niagara Falls secondary public boards. He was Previous Grasp of Perfection Lodge #616 and Previous Grand Stewart of the Grand Lodge of Ontario. He was a longtime member of Twenty Valley Golf Membership. For a few years Tim helped set up and serve meals for the St. Catharines Out of the Chilly program. He additionally helped ship meals to these in want. Tim quietly helped too many individuals to rely. He did this on the drop of a hat, with out counting the associated fee, and with out query. He didn’t flip his again on anybody. Household was most necessary to Tim and he was so pleased with his kids and grandchildren. A Masonic Memorial Service shall be held at St. Thomas’ Church on 99 Ontario Avenue, St. Catharines on 7, September 2024 at 9 a.m.

 

As per Tim’s needs,

Visitation time shall be held at St. Thomas’ Church  99 Ontario Avenue, St. Catharines on the seventh of  September 2024 from 10-11 a.m. A Celebration of Tim’s Life shall be held at St. Thomas’ Church afterwards at 11 a.m. A personal interment will happen at a later date with the household.
