Our stunning mom, Nanny Rose, great-grandmother, great-great grandmother and second mom to everybody who wanted her, Rosalie Little has begun her journey to the land of the ancestors. Born July 26, 1943 in Noticed Islands, Labrador she was the youngest youngster of the late Rhoda Boutilier and Barton Webber.
Rose spent her first 8 years dwelling in Labrador together with her dad and mom and siblings earlier than transferring to Little Lorraine, Cape Breton the place she spent most of her adolescent years. She labored on the St. Ritas hospital earlier than assembly her old flame Leo Gerrior with whom she went on to have 6 kids, dwelling in Ontario, Annapolis Valley, Halifax and later settled in Hopewell, NS for the following 53 years. After the sudden passing of her first husband in 1972, she went again to highschool acquiring her grade 12 and obtained a clerical certificates and labored at Valley View Villa for a number of years. Throughout that point she met her second husband, Joe Little with whom she had her seventh youngster.
Rosalie selected to stay her life caring about others and serving to everybody she may with acceptance, kindness and love. She was very concerned in her neighborhood and loved being a frontrunner in scouts, teen time dances, a eucharistic minister at Lourdes church, taught catechism, was a PKU advocate and fundraiser internet hosting a guide sale yearly to lift cash and consciousness and donated her time volunteering with the Pictou County Assist Line.
As a residential faculty survivor, she was a religious one that reconnected together with her heritage and spent the remainder of her life embracing it. She wished to study, educate and share her information with others. She loved presenting on the Cody Institute and attending the Peace and Friendship gatherings on the Tatamagouche Centre. Her best ardour was working with kids and instructing them in regards to the Indigenous tradition.
She is survived by her six kids; Nina Gerrior (Dan) Calgary Alb, Cathy Gerrior-Grant (Stephen) Hopewell, NS, Paula Gerrior (Sterling) Pictou Touchdown, NS, Leo Gerrior (Jean) Kings Head, NS, Carol Wall (Daniel) Wetaskiwin, Alb and Jolene Little (Jason) Central North River, NS. Seventeen grandchildren Leanne, Johna, Josh, Wanda, James, Stevi, Jacolbi, Matt, Thomas, Leah, Charlee, Josh, DJ, Cory, Bailey, Braden and Madison, ten nice grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and pals. She can be survived by her sister, Laura Kennedy, Little Lorraine, NS.
She was pre-deceased by her first husband, Leo Gerrior, her second husband, Joe Little,daughter Juanita Gerrior, grandson Jacob Grant, her brothers, Alex Webber, Abe Webber, Jim Webber, Ken Webber, Wilfred Webber, Johnny Webber, Herb Webber, Eric Webber, Robert Kennedy and her sister Lillian Keats.
We wish to thank the particular workers at Ivey’s Terrace, the VON, the palliative care and the emergency room groups on the Aberdeen Hospital for caring for our stunning mom.
There will likely be a visitation on the Eagles Funeral Dwelling on Wednesday October sixteenth from 7-9pm, a second viewing Thursday October 17 from 12-2pm with a public funeral at 2pm. There will likely be a household burial on the Immaculate Conception Parish Cemetery in Fundamental-A-Dieu, Cape Breton, NS at a later date.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her honor to the Tatamagouche Centre or a charity of your alternative.
