MIHALIC, Mijo “Mike”
It’s with heavy hearts that our household pronounces the passing of Mijo, a loving Husband, Father, Grandfather and Nice-Grandfather, on November 2, 2024, on the age of 92. Beloved husband to Katica (nee Vlasic) with whom he celebrated 65 years of blessed marriage. Loving and devoted father to Bozica “Betty” Mihalic (2018), and Linda Laurie and husband James of Glenview, Illinois. Cherished “Dida” to Deanna Sarapa and husband Milan of Windsor, Reese Laurie, and Gavin Laurie; each of Glenview, Illinois. Nice-Grandfather to Mileja Sarapa. Mijo is predeceased by dad and mom Nikola and Mara Mihalic, and his siblings Magda, Danica, Vlado, Ivan and Vida. Mike was a retired worker of Chrysler Canada with over 30 years of devoted service. He was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Croatian Church and Unifor Native 444. Visitation at Windsor Chapel Funeral Dwelling (Central Chapel), 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E. (519) 253-7234 on Friday, November 8, 2024 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Parish prayers at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Service on Saturday, November 9, 2024 at 9:45 a.m. from the funeral house then to St. Francis of Assisi Croatian Catholic Church for Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. Entombment to comply with at Heavenly Relaxation Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations could also be made to St. Francis of Assisi Church Constructing Fund.
