With heavy hearts, we announce the sudden passing of Maria Rosa Costa on June 5, 2025, who handed away within the dwelling she cherished, on the age of 96. Born in Italy, Maria lived a life rooted in religion, household, and arduous work. Pricey spouse of the late Lodovico “Rico” Costa (2002). Beloved mom of Walter (Sharon) and Sergio (Nancy), and cherished Nona to Nicole (Jordan), Robert (Rebecca), Hannah (Jake), and Nice Nona of Shea and Quinn. Maria’s love knew no bounds. She was a nurturing soul whose heat was felt in each meal she cooked and each flower and vegetable she tended in her backyard. A proud Catholic, her religion guided her life and introduced her peace and power. Maria labored as a normal laborer, by no means shying away from arduous work, and at all times discovering pleasure within the easy, sincere moments of life. She might be remembered for her quiet power, her beneficiant spirit, and the love she poured into her household and group. Visitation will happen at Windsor Chapel Banwell Chapel, 11677 Tecumseh Rd. E in Windsor on Tuesday June 10 from 2:00-5:00pm and seven:00-9:00pm with vigil prayers at 7pm. A mass might be held St. Anne’s Parish in Tecumseh on Wednesday June 11 at 11am. Interment at St. Anne’s Cemetery to observe. Donations made in reminiscence to Maria to the Windsor Regional Most cancers Centre can be vastly appreciated.
