In Loving Reminiscence of Konstantinos Patrianacos
January 14, 1928 – January 2, 2025
It’s with profound disappointment that we announce the passing of our expensive father and household patriarch Konstantinos (Dino) Patrianacos on January 2, 2025, simply 2 weeks in need of celebrating his 97th birthday. Predeceased by his beloved spouse of 65 years, Potoula (2022), and siblings Thomas and Athinoula. Father to devoted daughters, Effie (Mihalis) and Angie (James), and cherished grandsons Vasilis, George and Constantinos. Survived by sisters Sophia and Maria, many nieces, nephews, prolonged household and buddies throughout Greece, Canada, and the USA.
Dino was born in Petrina, Greece to folks Ilias and Eleftheria (Kontzamanis). He adopted his desires to Canada in 1955 the place he and our mom exchanged their marital vows shortly thereafter. Their unity was limitless and served as their best energy and the muse of our house in Toronto. He took delight in our household unit and labored laborious to offer an awesome high quality of life for us. Dino loved household gatherings, social outings and household street journeys, whether or not in Canada, the US or the Greek countryside throughout cherished summers overseas. He had a eager curiosity in army historical past, having witnessed the tumultuous period of WWII and took nice delight in his personal army service and contributions. Dino’s experience in diagnostics and repairs as an automotive mechanic earned him a fame for excellence amongst his purchasers and friends. He loved small recreation looking, and the camaraderie amongst a close-knit group of looking buddies. He was a passionate sports activities fanatic with an insatiable curiosity in hockey and soccer. Following retirement, he and our mom returned to Greece, relishing within the simplicity of village life, nurturing olive groves and sharing evenings with good buddies. He was a real gentleman who took delight in constructing a fame on the precept that his handshake was his phrase and his phrase was his bond. As we grieve the lack of our beloved father, we take solace in understanding that he has been reunited with our mom, in a spot of everlasting peace and love. Could their souls relaxation in everlasting concord.
Please be a part of us in celebrating the lifetime of our cherished father who’s resting on the George Darte Funeral House, 585 Carlton Road, St. Catharines, on Monday, January sixth, 2025, from 4:00 PM to eight:00 PM. The First Thrice Holy Hymn / Trisagio will happen at 6:00 PM on the funeral house. The funeral service will likely be held on Tuesday, January seventh, 2025, at 1:00 PM on the St. Katharine Greek Orthodox Church, 585 Niagara St, adopted by interment at Holy Cross Cemetery in Welland.
Donations in reminiscence of our expensive father could also be made to the St. Katharine Greek Orthodox Church.
