We are heartbroken to share the news of James “Jim” Patrick Lessard’s passing, a dear husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He left us on November 22, 2025, at the age of 68. Jim was born on November 20, 1957, in Windsor and lived a life filled with love, laughter, and the simple pleasures of nature. Jim was the loving son of Richard and Louella Lessard (nee Meloche). He grew up in Tecumseh, where he built strong bonds with both his family and community. He was the proud husband of Glenda (nee Weinz), with whom he enjoyed an incredible 43 years of marriage-a true reflection of their deep love and partnership. They tied the knot on September 11, 1982, and together they raised two amazing children, James (Kardyn) and Cory, who brought him endless joy. As a grandfather, Jim found great happiness in his role-especially spending time with his grandson, JT. He loved sharing life’s wonders with him and imparting wisdom from his own experiences. Family meant everything to Jim; he cherished every moment spent together-whether it was a weekend fishing trip or just enjoying the beauty of nature around them. Alongside his immediate family, Jim is also survived by his faithful dog Blue who provided him with comfort and companionship. He leaves behind five siblings as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Though Jim didn’t speak much, he always shared his happiness through warm smiles and perfectly timed jokes. In his career path, Jim was part owner of R Lessard Trucking LTD where he poured his heart into every job he took on. His hobbies reflected a deep appreciation for the outdoors; he loved fishing and hunting as these activities brought him peace in nature which inspired him daily. His quiet demeanor hid a generous heart; Jim was always ready to lend a helping hand whenever someone needed support. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the Windsor Essex Cancer Clinic. A heartfelt thank you goes out to the caring nurses and staff at WRH- Met Campus 4 West for their kindness during this challenging time. A celebration of life honoring Jim will take place at Windsor Chapel – Banwell (11677 Tecumseh Rd East, Windsor ON) on November 26, 2025 from 2-5 PM and again from 7-9 PM with words of remembrance starting at 8 PM. Cremation will follow.
