It is with heavy hearts that Helen Ryan’s family shares the news of her passing on Tuesday, September 2, 2025 at the age of 86. She was the beloved wife of the late Al. Loving mother to Leslie (Rob) Marshall and Bill (Debbie) Ryan. Adored Grammy of Jessica (Shane), Ben (Max), and Mikayla. She was a dear sister to Mary (George) Stasko; a treasured aunt to many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great great nieces and nephews. Helen was predeceased by her parents Andrew and Mary Frimer, as well as her brothers Dan, Steve (Gisele), Andy (Lyn), and John (late Mary).

For 40 years, Helen worked in downtown Detroit as a legal administrative assistant. After retiring, she took on part-time work at Zellers where she made numerous friends. Outside of her job, she loved bowling and proudly participated in a women’s bowling league. She found joy in simple things like sipping warm coffee, playing cards, sharing meals, enjoying long phone calls with loved ones, spending time with family, and making yearly trips to Manitoulin Island. Her presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Family and friends are invited to gather at Windsor Chapel Funeral Home – Central Chapel (1700 Tecumseh Rd. E.) 519-253-7234 on Saturday, September 13, 2025 from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm. A funeral service will take place at 1 pm following the visitation. In lieu of flowers, donations in Helen’s memory can be made to the Ontario Federation of Cerebral Palsy or Windsor Regional Cancer Centre. Online condolences may be shared at www. windsorchapel. com.
