Zabek, Elizabeth (nee Konopka) handed away peacefully with household at her aspect on Friday, October 18 2024 in her 92nd yr. Survived by her cherished husband, Joseph Zabek and her loving kids Carla (Kevin) and Greg (Cindy) Zabek; grandchildren Isabella, Alexander, Benjamin, Sebastian and Mary; sister-in-law Arlene Konopka. Elizabeth will even be missed by her adoring nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her dad and mom, Martin and Katherine Konopka, siblings Jadwiga (Zygmunt) Wojtas, Valerie (Cyril) Bulanda, Zenon Konopka and niece Barbara Wojtas.
Elizabeth was a outstanding woman who led a outstanding life. Her journey started in Lwów, Poland and continued by Siberia, Iran, Africa, England and in the end St. Catharines.
