Bennet-Dargie
It’s with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Dargie Whitton Bennet on October 8, 2024 on the age of 81. Loving husband of Diana Bennet (nee Browning), for 55 years. Devoted father to Trevor Bennet (Lyn), Deborah Bennet, and Geoffrey Bennet (Nora). Proud grandfather to Morgan Bennet, Jackson Bennet, Ryann Bennet, Luke Bennet, Casey Bennet, Autumn Bennet, and Gabrielle Bennet Hughes. Twin brother Dave Bennet (Myra), and uncle to Cameron Bennet (Tanis) and Craig Bennet (Jacqui). Predeceased by his mother and father Dargie and Margorie Bennet (nee Dahl). He shall be missed by all his household and buddies.
Dargie was born on September twenty second, 1943 in Portage la Prarie, Manitoba, and rasied in Neepawa, Manitoba. He attended the College of Manitoba the place he obtained a Bachelor of Science, with a serious in arithmetic. After commencement, he labored for Alcan Inc. in Montreal, Quebec; relocating to Kitimat, BC and ultimately to Cleveland, Ohio. Whereas working at Alcan in Montreal he met his spouse Diana, and settled all the way down to have 3 stunning youngsters.
Upon deciding to return to Canada, he labored at Suncor for 27 years in varied areas (Fort McMurray and Edmonton, Alberta; Sarnia and Toronto, Ontario; and Denver, Colorado). All through these years he loved sports activities similar to curling, hockey, and soccer. He retired to Guelph, Ontario and lived within the Village by the Arboretum for 17 years. He was very concerned within the internet committee and the sound and lighting committee. He was a “snow chook” and loved winters in Ocala, Florida for a few years.
Visitation at Windsor Chapel, 11677 Tecumseh Rd E., Windsor will happen on Wednesday, October sixteenth, 2024 from 2pm to 5pm and from 7pm to 9pm. Funeral providers will proceed on Thursday, October seventeenth, 2024 at 11am at Windsor Chapel adopted by a procession to Heavenly Relaxation Cemetary, 5005 Howard Ave., Windsor.
