Peacefully at house, on the age of 92 years younger, on January 13, 2025, the birthday of her youngest brother, Danny. Predeceased by her beloved husband of greater than 50 years, John James “Jim” MacKinnon. Devoted mom of Sheila Mackinnon and husband Paul Howard; Jim and late spouse April; Sharon and husband Kevin Menzel; Sam (Sandra Boglitch); and Michael and spouse Amie. Predeceased by her expensive dad and mom Russel and Minnie and her beloved siblings Helen, Marvin, Gordon, Kay (Katherine), Delbert, and Danny. Loving “Granny” or “Grannin” or extra generally simply “Daisy” to all her beloved grandchildren, Lisa (Josiah), Jimmy, Jack (Julie), Jessica, Russel, Maggie (Marco), Melissa (Bryan), Lindsey (Colin), Owen, and Hayden, and her great-grandchildren, Clive, Lucy, Jay, Sophia, Matteo, and Norah. Additionally survived by many nieces and nephews. Possessed of an irrepressible positivity and innate caring for others, Daisy was the completed proprietor/operator of the previous St. Joachim Manor and Essex Manor retirement houses, the place she offered “care with dignity” to all of her residents. Identified by all (and her automobile’s license plate) as simply Daisy, she might be fondly remembered by all who have been privileged to share even a small a part of her effervescent life. She was one who impressed pleasure simply by being in her presence and her smile. Visitation might be held at Windsor Chapel – SOUTH CHAPEL on Friday, January 17, 2025, from 2:00 to 7:00 p.m. and Saturday, January 18, 2025, from 10:00am till time of funeral service with celebrant Fr. Matthew Durham at 11:00am. A non-public household interment at Heavenly Relaxation Catholic Cemetery will observe. As an expression of sympathy donations to the Hiatus Home could be appreciated by the household.
