Claire Teresa Coakeley (née Renaud) daughter of Joseph and Antoinette Renaud died peacefully on Saturday, October 19, 2024 on the Chapel Heights Retirement Residence, Niagara Falls. As a baby, Claire lived in Salem, Massachusetts. She joined the Sisters of Saint Anne and moved to Montréal the place she certified as a instructor. After leaving the convent, Claire moved to Ottawa and taught in each the Carleton and the Carleton Roman Catholic Separate Faculty Boards. There she met her beloved Michael, they usually moved to Niagara-on-the-Lake. All through her life Claire remained very near the Catholic Church and was energetic in St Vincent de Paul Parish in Niagara-on-the-Lake.
Claire is predeceased by Michael, by her brother Paul (Nancy) and by her niece Pat and husband Alan Bubb, and leaves behind many members of the family together with her nephews Paul Renaud Jr (Cheryl) and Invoice Renaud (Sharon) and her niece Susan Shaker (Roger) and eight grand nieces and nephews and 7 nice grand nieces and nephews in Texas.
Claire can also be survived by Michael’s sons Simon (Arnold), Damien (Greta) and Matthew (Susan) and their households.
A visitation can be held for Claire at St Vincent De Paul Catholic Church, 73 Picton St, Niagara-on-the-Lake, ON L0S 1J0, from 9:30am-10:30am Thursday October twenty fourth, instantly adopted by a Mass at 10:30am; cremation to observe.
