It’s with profound unhappiness that we announce the sudden passing of Brenda Lee O’Brien, 62, on December 10, 2024.

She is survived by her former accomplice, Stephen McLaughlin (Westville), their daughter Breanna McLaughlin (Calen) Edmonton; and son, Robbie McLaughlin (Ashley) Stellarton, and youngest son Noah Teed (Plymouth). Brenda can also be survived by her 4 beloved grandchildren: Ryder, Greyson, Claire and Anna. Additionally surviving are sisters: Debbie Cormier (Walter), Mary Duggan (Jerry), and Bobbie Vint (Gil) all of Westville. Additionally surviving are sister Sandra O’Brien, Sydney, and brother Stephen O’Brien, St. John, NB, in addition to 14 nieces and nephews.

Brenda was predeceased by her dad and mom, Robert and Doris O’Brien, accomplice John Teed, and sisters Barbara O’Brien and Patsy DeYoung.

In earlier years, Brenda was very athletic and excelled in a number of sports activities, particularly volleyball, and cherished involvement at school actions. The Hockey Playoffs have been a should for her and he or she bought immense pleasure from the sport. Brenda was very artistic and made some stunning crafts with calligraphy. She cherished writing and was excellent on this class. She cherished music and was a wonderful dancer. One in every of her favorite go instances was baking. She might spend days making completely different sweets- pies, breads, squares, truffles and cookies and cherished each minute of it. So long as she had a cup of tea, she might do something. Her many home vegetation have been her ‘babies’ and he or she was devoted to their look after years and years.

Brenda was a mild soul with an enormous coronary heart and taken care of the ‘underdog’ when she was younger.  Brenda persistently dragged residence child birds, and strays. Later, she all the time had rescued pets and adored them. She cared about all animals- home or wild. She commonly took pleasure in feeding and watching the deer and raccoons. Feeding the birds was one other interest and he or she even made diaries of the varied species she’d encountered.

Brenda was very happy with her three kids and sometimes gushed about their successes, promotions and training. Her daughter, Breanna, lived in Edmonton and all the time discovered the time to rearrange to have her mother go to for a month. It was so thrilling for Brenda to see her two grandsons. She talked about it incessantly and cherished seeing and spending time together with her grandkids. When she visited her son, Robbie, she simply cherished being with Claire and sometimes spoke of how good she was, and would boast with a smile about the great thing about each granddaughters. Brenda and Noah’s dad thought for certain they’d the following NHL prodigy. Cheering Noah on gave her excessive pleasure and a smile from ear to ear.

Most would say that Brenda’s largest attribute was her superb sense of humour. She was clever, quick-witted, and cherished to inform jokes. Her chortle was infectious. Buddies from her previous very significantly thought that she might have made it huge by writing for Saturday Evening Stay or TV sitcoms. She was a wealth of data and cherished to be taught new issues. One in every of her greatest pals mentioned of her, “She was a brilliant and beautiful person. She made a huge difference in my young life.”

Brenda shall be all the time be missed by her whole household. She shall be sadly missed by her pals, all who knew and have been touched by her and particularly lengthy -term pals, Robyn Carrigan, and Jimmy Linthorne.

Visitation will happen on Thursday December 19, at 1:00pm till service time at 2:00pm at Eagles Funeral Dwelling, Westville.
