We are heartbroken to share that Brenda Gail Irving from Windsor, Ontario, passed away peacefully in her sleep at the age of 85 on October 12th, 2025.

Brenda was born on April 16th, 1940, to her late parents, Andrew and Marjorie Irving. She was the mother of Marlene and grandmother to Sara (Stephen) and Megan (Thomas). As a proud Gigi to Callum (2024) and Malcolm, she cherished them dearly. In her passing, she joins three of her closest friends: Vicky, Sandy, and Les. She is also reunited with her two adored dogs, Muffy and Kallie.

After dedicating thirty years to teaching, Brenda enjoyed traveling, golfing, playing cards, shopping at Costco, cheering for the Tigers during games, and hosting celebrations for any reason. Most recently, she loved spending time with her new great-grandson Malcolm; he truly brought her joy. Although their time together was brief, she now watches over her late great-grandson Callum while reading to him as she did for Malcolm.

Her card club will miss her deeply: Donna, Karlene, Annie, Meredith (Harry), Sue, Geri, Diana, and Helene. She leaves behind cousins Rod and Liz Tregwin; lifelong best friend Sheila Tyler; Wayne and Julie Bartlett; along with many other friends from teaching and social activities like golfing or gym classes that she enjoyed so much.

Visitation will be held at WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME – BANWELL CHAPEL located at 11677 Tecumseh Rd. E. (519-253-7235) on Thursday, October 16th ,2025 from 2-5 pm and again from 7-9 pm. A Memorial Service by the Beta Sigma Phi sorority is scheduled for 4:30 pm followed by a Memorial Service by the RWTO at 7:30 pm. A private family interment will happen later.

In lieu of flowers and in memory of Brenda and her great-grandson Callum , donations can be made to Miles for Max; checks should be made out to “Miles for Max , Meghan Mc Coy’ or via e-transfer to milesformax23@gmail. ca. Online condolences and fond memories can be shared with the family at www. windsorchapel. com
