Bora Apostolovski, a woman of great strength, kindness, and warmth, passed away peacefully in her sleep to join our Lord on January 21, 2026.
Bora’s life was filled with adventure and dedication. Born in Vratnica, Macedonia, she later moved to Aachen, Germany. It was there that she met the love of her life, Jovo. Their journey together took them to Windsor, Ontario, where they built a wonderful life and recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.
During her time at Magna International, Bora was recognized not only for her hard work but also for the genuine friendships she formed. She earned deep respect from management and coworkers alike; many became close friends over the years.
After retiring, Bora embraced life’s simple pleasures with joy. Whether she was caring for her garden, enjoying long walks, or catching up with friends over coffee and shopping trips, she spread warmth wherever she went. She loved being at the card table and found true happiness surrounded by family-and of course, her beloved dog Bailey.
Bora will be remembered for her gentle yet strong spirit. She was the neighbor who always offered help and the friend who could be counted on during tough times; she truly was the heart of her family. Her love and quiet strength left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know her.
She is survived by a family that loved her dearly: her devoted husband Jovo; sons Ivica and Dejan; daughter-in-law Ana; and adored grandchildren Olivia and Ashton who were everything to her. Bora also had five loving sisters: Zora; late Menka; Ubavka; late Koca; and Slavanka-along with a large circle of extended family and friends. She is predeceased by her father Slave and mother Milica.
The family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks to the caring staff at Tayfour Rehab and Palliative Care Unit at Hotel Dieu Grace Healthcare for providing exceptional care during Bora’s time there.
Visitation will take place at WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME – BANWELL CHAPEL, 11677 Tecumseh Rd. E. (519-253-7235), on Monday, January 26, 2026 from 3-5 pm and 7-9 pm. Prayers will be held at 7:30 pm.
