With heavy hearts, we share the news of Andrew (Andy) Kukučka’s passing at the age of 83 on November 7, 2025, at Windsor Regional Hospital Met Campus, surrounded by his loved ones. He is now at peace, awaiting Jesus’ return.

Andrew was born on March 16, 1942, in Glozan, Serbia to Miško and Elisabeth.

He was a kind and strong man with integrity who dedicated himself to providing for his family-his blood relatives as well as many others who lovingly referred to him as “Dad,” “Papa,” and “Grandpa.”

Andrew is survived by his wife Susan. He was a devoted father to Anne Kukučka of Windsor and Helen and Mark Knecht Jr. of Indianapolis, Indiana. He took pride in being a grandfather to Mark Knecht III and Jack Knecht. He leaves behind his beloved siblings Michael Kukučka and John and Maria Kukučka in Serbia. As an uncle, he was cherished by Marija Kiralj, Ana Cevari, Janko and Vesna Kukučka. He also had dear brothers-in-law: the late Jan and Ana Korčok from Serbia along with Maria and the late Steven Balaz from Australia. As an uncle again to Jerry and Supapparaporn Korčok from La Salle; Marka Korčok from Serbia; Walter and Tracey Balaz from Australia; Jane and Peter Stewart from Australia; he was adored as a great-uncle by Celina, Eloise, and Mia.

After dedicating 30 years to Ford Motor Company before retiring, Andrew enjoyed gardening, fishing, supporting his Toronto Maple Leafs, Toronto Blue Jays, and Windsor Spitfires. His faith led him to serve faithfully as a deacon at the Windsor Seventh-Day Adventist Church for many years where he loved sharing both his gardening tips and beliefs with everyone around him.

Beyond family ties, many friends will deeply feel his absence due to his faith-filled life marked by positivity, quiet strength, and love.

A heartfelt thanks goes out to the doctors, nurses, and therapists at Windsor Regional Hospital Met Campus in the ICU along with those on the 4th Floor West and North for their care during this time.

Visitation will be held at Windsor Chapel Funeral Home (1700 Tecumseh Rd. E., Windsor Ontario) on Wednesday November 12th from 2-5pm & 7-9pm. The funeral service will take place at the Windsor Seventh-Day Adventist Church (5350 Haig Ave., Windsor Ontario) on November 13th starting with visitation at 10:00am followed by service at 11:00am officiated by Pastors Alex Golovenko & Edwin Darius. Interment will follow at Windsor Memorial Gardens.

Memorial donations can be made to the Windsor Adventist Elementary School (5350 Haig Ave., Windsor Ontario N8T 1K8), which would mean a lot to the family. Online condolences or memories may be shared with them at www. windsorchapel. com.
