The household of Alexander “Wally” Hovrisko of the Wroxton district, beloved husband of Sharon Hovrisko, sadly announce his passing on January 8, 2025. He was 83 years of age.
A Funeral Service will probably be held on Tuesday, January 14, 2025 at 9:30 a.m. from St. Josaphat’s Ukrainian Catholic Church, Kamsack, with Rev. Fr. Ivan Simko officiating.

The interment will happen within the Yorkton Memorial Gardens.
Memorial donations could also be made to St. Josaphat’s Parish Fund as items of remembrance.
Preparations have been entrusted to Bailey’s Funeral Dwelling.
Alexander “Wally” Vladumir Hovrisko was born August 01, 1941 to oldsters Louis and Anne (Shordee) Hovrisko. He’s survived by sister Zonia and was pre-deceased by brother Paul, nephew Chris, and his mother and father.
Wally grew up on the household farm and attended Clarkoff Faculty then St. Joe’s in Yorkton. After highschool he helped on the household farm.
He married Sharon Farwell on April 23, 1966, on the rural church St. Victor in Saskatchewan.
Wally was very lively with the Knights of Columbus and in addition labored as a guard on the police stations in Kamsack and Yorkton. He additionally was a Commissionaire within the Yorkton department.
He had an excellent love of farming, rising natural crops for a few years and elevating dairy cattle for 17 years. Wally cherished sharing his ideas on “Espresso Row” and protecting updated with the Squawk Field information channel. He loved the theories of “Historic Aliens” on TV and infrequently attended every day mass and stated his rosary nightly.
His reminiscence will probably be cherished by his spouse Sharon of 58 years and his sons Simon, Austin, Adrian, Alan Collo (son-in-law), Jeff Possberg (son-in-law), daughters Melody Collo, Janice Ledoux, and Rhonda Wright, and 5 grandchildren.
