On Wednesday, September 18, 2024, our beloved mom, Oma, sister, sister-in-law and good friend was welcomed by her Lord and Saviour into her heavenly dwelling. Akke Ann Verbeek handed peacefully safe in her religion surrounded by household at St. Catharines Basic Hospital.
Akke Ann was born on July 3, 1960 in St. Catharines, Ontario to Bouwe and Djoeke Visser, the fourth of six kids. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Cor Verbeek (2018) to whom she was married for nearly 36 years, whom she missed extremely. Akke Ann was a lady of unimaginable religion, strolling with God all through her journey of life. She was at all times considerate of others, beneficiant to a fault, placing the wants of others earlier than her personal.
Akke Ann is survived by her loving kids who will miss her immeasurably, Ryan and his spouse Lindsey and Kristen, in addition to her two grandsons, Adam and Hudson, whom she deeply liked and have been the sunshine of her life. She may also be missed by her siblings: Carl (and Linda) Visser, Al (and Anne) Visser, Liz (and Greg) Cayen, Mark (and Maria) Visser and the late Ed (Tinie) Visser.
Ann can be survived by Cor’s household – Invoice (Chris) Verbeek, Jake (Roxanne) Verbeek, Shorty (the late Bea) Verbeek, Sena (the late Mark) Postma, Alwynn (the late Ed) Verbeek, the late Mike Verbeek, Betty (Jack) Zaenglien and Tinie (the late Ed).

Visitation will happen at George Darte Funeral Dwelling & Cremation Centre, 585 Carlton Avenue, St. Catharines on Sunday, September 22, 2024 from 2 pm to five pm.
