Mary Agnes (Agnes) Juba, age 91, of Windsor Ontario, passed away peacefully at Windsor Regional Hospital – Met Campus on November 17, 2025, surrounded by loved ones. Agnes and her husband Matt (who has passed) raised 5 children together and found great joy in their grandchildren: son Randy Juba and Vicki; daughter Pam Howick and Wyatt – grandchildren Vanessa and Jessica; son Mathew Juba (who has passed) and Betty – grandchildren Angela, John and Michael; daughter Linda Glabb and Bill (who has passed) – grandchildren Jason and Erica; daughter Karen Juba-Jelusic and Boris – grandchildren Zachary and Sonja. She was also blessed with many great-grandchildren.
Agnes was well-known for her hospitality, her love of life, family, friends, and a good game of Euchre. She had a special bond with her sister Theresa (who has passed). Her home was always welcoming to family and friends. A fantastic cook and baker, she became famous for her pierogi and butter tarts. She enjoyed sharing stories about the wonderful family trips out West to visit the Juba family. Agnes loved line dancing as well as playing cards of any kind.
She was also an entrepreneur who owned a beauty salon called Aggie’s in Sandwich West. Her customers adored her. An active member of St. Mark’s by the Lake Church, she moved with Matt to Emery Park in 1996; she loved that lakeside community where she served as President of Emery Park for several years.
She will be missed dearly. Agnes lived a long life full of experiences. Her spirit, kindness, and determination will always be remembered.
