LESLIE, Marian Frances Joan (Faulkner) ~ Age 75, of Nicholsville, Kings Co., handed away all of the sudden on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born August 14, 1949, on Devils Island, Halifax Co., she was a daughter of the late Kenneth and Nora (Smith) Faulkner. Along with her dad and mom, she was predeceased by brothers, William and Thomas Faulkner, a brother in infancy; and brother-in-law, John Leslie. Survived by her husband of 52 years, Rodney D. Leslie; daughters, Lisa Leslie (Jeremy) of Nicholsville and Andrea Leslie (Oliver) of Falmouth; grandchildren, Jacob, Isla, and she or he had been eagerly awaiting the beginning of a brand new granddaughter; sister, Patricia (the late Grover) Rose; sisters-in-law, Debbie (the late Paul) Kasperson, Loreen (David) MacDonald, and Susan (the late Thomas) Faulkner; nieces and nephews, Andrew, Jonathan, Danielle, Angela, Tina and Trevor. Her relationships with Connie and Michelle held a particular place in her coronary heart, as did her many pricey cousins. Marian was blessed with many friendships in the local people, which has proven a lot assist to the household on this time of grief. Marian had been employed on the Bedford Institute of Oceanography (BIO) – Fisheries & Oceans and maintained relationships along with her BIO co-workers to current day. When her husband was posted to Canadian Forces Base (CFB) Greenwood, she transferred to the Development & Engineering Division at CFB Greenwood till her retirement. Marian was an avid gardener. Her inexperienced thumb was rivaled solely by the love she poured into her kitchen, the place she was identified for creating scrumptious meals and candy treats that introduced folks collectively. Above all, her coronary heart was crammed with love and satisfaction for her grandchildren. Marian loved giving again to her neighborhood and, in years previous, volunteered with the Woman Guides of Canada, the M.S.
