It’s with nice disappointment that we share the lack of Frances Kathleen Lainson (nee Drake), who handed away in Palliative Care on the Brantford Basic Hospital on October 8, 2024. She was 92 years of age. Frances might be remembered as a loving Spouse, Mother, Grandma, Nice-Grandma, buddy and proud member of the Paris neighborhood.  

She leaves behind her devoted husband Bob of 69 years and her 5 kids: Kathy Taylor (Tom 2010), Susan MacCallum (Rob), Nancy Hutchins (Todd), Patty Hayes (Geoff) and Bob Lainson (Fran).  She was the proud Grandma of Andrea, Laura (Ed), Erin (Ben), Kerri, Luke (Amy), Tara (Ronnie), Tessa (Sarah), Mitchell (Jordyn), Madison, Paige (Andrew) Brooke and Ian.  She was blessed with 16 nice grandchildren and another on the way in which!  She is survived by her brother John and is reunited along with her brother Invoice (2020).  

Frances grew up in Ontario’s ‘Close to North,’ dwelling along with her household in North Bay, Capreol, and later Barrie, as her father’s work as a dispatcher for the CNR required them to maneuver often. It was throughout her last 12 months of highschool in Barrie that she met Bob. After graduating, she pursued nursing at St. Joseph’s Hospital College of Nursing in Toronto. Following her marriage to Bob on August 13, 1955, they settled in Paris, the place she started and accomplished her nursing profession at Willett Hospital.

Frances was a faithful member of St. James Anglican Church, the place she belonged to many golf equipment and repair teams. She volunteered closely locally – meals on wheels, the Willett Hospital and Auxiliary. She and Bob had the enjoyment of dwelling of their house for over 60 years however for the previous 16 months she had been residing at Telfer Place in assisted dwelling.   We wish to thank the employees for his or her terrific care, and the recreation crew for the leisure and enjoyable they offered. We’d additionally wish to thank the employees at Park Lane for his or her kindness to Mother as she visited Bob for the previous 3 years.  

Buddies might be welcomed on the Dwayne D. Budgell Funeral Dwelling, 1105 Relaxation Acres Street, Paris, on Friday October 18, 2024 from 2 – 4 and seven – 9 p.m. A Memorial Service might be held at St. James Anglican Church, 8 Burwell St., Paris, Ontario on Saturday October 19, 2024 at 11 am. Father Jason Postma will officiate. Frances’ service might be stay streamed beginning at 10:50 am. Cremation has already taken place. In Frances’ reminiscence donations to the Willett Hospital or St. James Anglican Church can be appreciated by the household.
