It’s with profound unhappiness that we announce the passing of our expensive buddy, Michael Mostyn, z”l, a dynamic chief, a passionate advocate, and above all, a real mensch. Michael’s life was devoted to tikkun olam—repairing the world—a mission he embraced with each place he held and with each life he touched.
Because the CEO of B’nai Brith Canada since 2014, Michael’s imaginative and prescient and management revitalized the group, remodeling it right into a formidable voice in combating antisemitism and defending the rights of the Jewish neighborhood throughout Canada. His ardour for justice was deeply rooted in Torah values, and no matter he did in life, was undertaken with great respect and unwavering integrity.
Born to a household dedicated to Jewish custom and values, Michael was a staunch defender of Am Yisrael and his religion guided him in every thing he did. His presence was not restricted to boardrooms or podiums; he was equally at residence at synagogue and public occasions, sharing a heat smile and a considerate phrase with associates and neighborhood members alike.
