It’s with profound disappointment that we announce the passing of our dearest Lucia Pernarella. Surrounded by the love of her household she handed away on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, in her 96th 12 months. Lucia was born to Carmine & Erminia Serrone in Pompei Italy, on February 5, 1929. She immigrated to Canada from Italy, the place she married her beloved husband, Augusto Pernarella. The household was blessed with 2 kids Carlo & Carmen. After 6 years in Canada the household returned to Italy the place they welcomed their third youngster Ida. Years later they returned to Canada the place they’d elevate their kids and watch their grandchildren and nice grandchildren develop. Lucia can be deeply missed and perpetually remembered as a faithful mom to Carlo (Ivana), Carmen (Josephine) & Ida (Joe); a loving grandmother of Davide (Nikki), Austin (Gena), Vanessa, Daniel, Luca, Celina; and a proud nice grandmother of Gioia, Audrina, and Vittoria. She can be remembered by her surviving sister, Giuseppina, and by her prolonged household in each Italy and Toronto. Lucia had an unimaginable expertise for creating heat and pleasure by way of her cooking and baking. Her scrumptious muffins, cookies, and home-cooked meals have been made with love and shared generously with all who knew her. She leaves behind a legacy of affection, custom, and kindness that can reside on within the hearts of everybody who was lucky to know her. Household and Buddies can be acquired on the Ward Funeral House (4671 Hwy 7, Woodbridge) on Monday, Could 5, 2025 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. & 6:00-8:00 p.m. Funeral Mass can be held at St. David’s (2601 Main Mackenzie Dr. Maple, ON) on Tuesday, Could 6, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. In loving reminiscence of Lucia Pernarella memorial donations could also be made to SickKids Basis.
