It’s with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Kathleen Davis (nee Mackay) beloved spouse of former Ontario Premier William (Billy) Davis, mom, grandmother, and great-grandmother, who peacefully left us on January 3, 2025, surrounded by her household, on the age of 91. Kathleen was born in Chicago and raised in Hinsdale, Illinois. A lifelong lover of literature and music, Kathleen earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in English from the College of Michigan and was a really passionate Wolverines supporter her complete life. Upon commencement, she studied in Germany after which moved to San Francisco the place she obtained her educating degree from the College of California, Berkeley. Kathleen stayed in San Francisco educating kindergarten. She met her ‘Billy” in Cognashene, the cottage area in Georgian Bay where both their families had cottages. They began a beautiful loving relationship that spanned 60 years. Kathleen’s adventurous spirit led her to just accept Billy’s marriage proposal, go away her life in San Francisco, transfer to Brampton and arrange her personal “family kindergarten” for his 4 younger youngsters. Their youngest daughter Meg was born later that yr, and their household was full. Kathleen was capable of finding that typically elusive steadiness between elevating her household, supporting her husband’s profession and pursuing her personal pursuits. Kathleen was a lady of nice energy, kindness, and resilience and he or she lived a life full of love, laughter and journey.
