It’s with nice unhappiness that our household proclaims the passing of our loving, beneficiant and sort hearted mom. Karen handed away peacefully, surrounded by her household on 18th July, 2024 in her sixtieth 12 months after a brave combat with most cancers. Daughter of Agnus [Betty] the late Wilbert Saltern and beloved spouse and greatest buddy of the boy-next-door Timothy Sullivan for 33 years. Loving mom of Jade Mark (Johnny), William (Alli) and Frank (Drew). Liked by her grandchildren Jack, Nate, Erick, Audrey and Ella. Pricey sister of Jerry (Tracey), Margaret Smoke, Shirley (Sterling), Elenor and Trish Salisko (James). Beloved sister-in-law of Patrick (Julie), Frank (Sarah), Joe (Peggy), Mike (Clare), John (Claudette), Mary Ellen Bannon (Bob), Teresa Donnelly (Mike), Jim (Monica), Margie Clarke (Invoice), Dan (Shelley), Clair, Marcella (Richard), Anne (Al) and Eileen. She can be fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews.
Karen was no stranger to work having spent her profession as a corrections officer at Central East and later because the spine of the newest iteration of Sullivan’s Retailer in Ennismore. She was a pillar of a big household who liked her dearly; her door was at all times open to a home filled with color and love. Karen was a fast wit, was liked for at all times talking her thoughts and at all times had the respect of her household and pals. Karen was lucky to have created and maintained a number of sturdy and lifelong friendships. Her pals have been extremely essential to her and have been at all times round for world travels, late nights and the highs and lows of a life that touched all that she met.
Visitation will happen on the HIGHLAND PARK FUNERAL CENTRE at 2510 Bensfort Highway on Wednesday 24 July, 2024 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and seven:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral Mass can be celebrated in ST. MARTIN OF TOURS CHURCH, Ennismore on Thursday 25 July, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. Interment St. Martin’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Most cancers Society or The Kidney Basis of Canada can be appreciated by the household. Thanks.
