James (Jim) Griebler, 87, of Saint Paul, MN, passed away peacefully on November 22, 2025.

Jim was born on February 1, 1938, in Saint Paul, MN to Leo Griebler and Gladys Bradshaw. He grew up in Saint Paul where he attended Saint Casimir grade school and Johnson High School. After finishing high school, he joined the US Air Force. He served proudly for eight years as a jet mechanic.

In 1963, Jim married Theresa Caruso, and together they raised their family in Little Canada where they lived for over 40 years and enjoyed 62 years of marriage. He was a proud father to Mary Jane, John, and Tom. He treasured his role as a grandfather to Drew, Jimmy, Austin, Abbey, Ally, and Anthony. He was also a great-grandfather to Charlotte, Everly, Addison, Lennon, Aiden, Audrey, Clover and Mikko who is due in March. Whenever asked about his greatest achievement or what made him proudest he always said “My Family”.

“Mr. Griebs” will be remembered for his mischievous smile, his passion for all things Minnesota Sports-related, his Canadian Days button collection and his kind-hearted nature.

He is survived by wife Theresa; daughter Mary Jane Horner (Jim); sons John (Debbie) and Tom (Anne); six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father Leo; mother Gladys; sister Tyra; and brother Leo.

Visitation will be held on Thursday December 4th 2025 from 3pm – 7pm at Bradshaw Celebration of Life Center located at 4600 Greenhaven Drive in White Bear Lake MN. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place Friday December 5th 2025 at 11am at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church located at 380 Little Canada Rd E in Little Canada MN with visitation one hour prior. Attire featuring Minnesota sports team jerseys is welcomed for either gathering. The family requests donations be made to the Minnesota Twins Community Fund which supports youth development through baseball and softball.

Jim will be laid to rest at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.

Jim’s kindness and dedication to family will continue to live on in all who knew him.
