It’s with damaged hearts we announce the passing of Kevin Philip Golding on January thirty first, 2025 at Guelph Normal Hospital on the age of 67, because of problems from ALK-Optimistic non-small cell lung most cancers. Kevin left in peace, surrounded by quick household.

Kevin was a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, buddy and mentor. He shall be missed tremendously by all whose lives he touched.

He was born on June 3, 1957 in Oakville, Ontario because the second of 4 youngsters to Phil and Christina Golding. He attended Lord Elgin Excessive College in Burlington and later graduated from McMaster College in 1980 with a Bachelor of Commerce degree. On September 6, 1980, he married the love of his life, Leigh Izzillo as they launched into a exceptional 44-year marriage. Collectively they raised three youngsters and later welcomed six grandchildren.

Kevin’s tireless work ethic, loyalty and enterprise acumen served him very properly throughout a 34 12 months profession with Maple Leaf Meals. Kevin started as a price accountant on the Canada Packers plant in Toronto in 1980. After holding numerous positions all through Ontario and Western Canada within the firm’s poultry division, he shifted to Agri-business in 2000. Throughout this time, he served concurrently as President of Rothsay and Maple Leaf AgriFarms.

After retirement in 2014, Kevin opened KPLG Advisory Companies. Utilizing his managerial and operational expertise, he consulted people and companies, most notably West Coast Discount Restricted. He served on the Board of Administrators at BIOX Company (2015-2017), Danby Merchandise Restricted (2020-2025) and Cutten Fields (2021-2025).

Kevin was happy with his involvement with the College of Guelph. He served on the College’s Board of Governors from 2008-2019 and remained concerned with the board till the time of his dying. In 2021, he established the ‘Kevin & Leigh Golding and Family Bursary in Support of Black Student Scholars’, demonstrating values of group and generosity that permeated his private {and professional} life.

Kevin’s passions had been household, mates, golf, hockey, music and spending time on the dock on the household cottage close to Minden, ON. His beloved grandchildren will fondly bear in mind summers on the cottage with Grandpa’s snacks, ice cream cones and mastery of the firepit. His summer time playlist will reside on on the lake for years to return. Household pets previous and current had been fortunate to have Kevin’s doting consideration.

Household and mates will miss seeing Kevin on the golf course or training on the placing inexperienced at Cutten Fields, the place he and his household loved time collectively for generations.

Kevin is survived by his mom Christina Golding (Apps); his spouse Leigh Golding (Izzillo); his adoring mother-in-law Barbara Izzillo; his youngsters; Angela Popofski (Michael), Philip Golding (Nicole) and Jacqueline Golding (Deondre Jacobs); his brothers, Paul Golding and Chris Golding and his sister Kim Moffit. He’s lovingly remembered by six grandchildren; Olivia, Grace and Violet Popofski, and Nora, Jordan and Charlotte Golding. He shall be missed by many in-laws, nieces, nephews, and so many expensive mates.

Pre-deceased by his father Herbert Philip (Phil) Golding (2003) and life-long buddy Mark Parkinson (2010).

A personal graveside ceremony shall be held at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Guelph at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, February 5, 2025. There shall be a public memorial gathering held on the College of Guelph on Thursday February 6, 2025 at 11:00 AM within the Waasamowin (Atrium) on the Summerlee Science Advanced.

Funeral preparations beneath the path of the Brombal Funeral Dwelling, One Delhi Avenue, Guelph, Ontario.

In lieu of flowers, donations could also be made to the Basis of the Guelph Normal Hospital. His household wish to thank Dr. Ferguson, Dr. Graham, Dr. Gregoire and all the nurses that cared for Kevin so lovingly throughout his closing days; Dr. Mithoowani and Dr. Dhaliwal at London Well being Sciences, whose communication and help had been instrumental throughout Kevin’s struggle.
