It is with great sadness that the Pokryfka family announces the peaceful passing of Gladys (nee Seip) at WRHN @ Queens (formerly known as St. Mary’s Hospital) on Saturday, January 17th, 2026, at the age of 98.

Loving mother of Stewart, Robert (Sherry), and Cindy Kid.

Cherished grandma to Jasmine, Tiffany, Corina Kid, and Lindsay.

Beloved great-grandma of eight.

Predeceased by her husband of 52 years Donald (2004) and her brothers Donald, Russell, Roy, and Harold Seip, and sister Doris Stroh.

Gladys’ proudest achievement in life was becoming a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her family was her pride and joy.

Special thanks to the staff and fellow patients on the fifth floor of WRHN @ Queens – your care and support have been greatly appreciated through this journey.

Cremation arrangements entrusted to the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467.

As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Salvation Army, The Working Center, or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
