It’s with nice unhappiness and heavy hearts that the household of Cpl. Francis Edward Gallant (Ret.), “Papa Ed” announce his passing on January 6, 2025 at house in Warman, Saskatchewan on the age of 65.
Papa Ed was born on Could 25, 1959 to John St. Clair Gallant (Capt. Ret RCAF) “Papa John” and Mary Patricia Gallant in Longueuil, Quebec. He graduated from R.C.M.P depot in 1981 and served his posted communities for 26 years, retiring in June of 2006 in Spiritwood, Saskatchewan.
He fortunately spent his semi retired life proudly working for Hundseth to fund the lifetime of chasing his grandson’s and granddaughters from rink to rink, ball diamond to ball diamond, and arenas to gymnasiums. He will probably be remembered for his witty humour, adventures and misadventures, nicknames and keenness for all times and household.
Papa Ed is survived by his spouse Cindy of 42 years from February 26, 1983 till his passing. Three daughters Lisa (Thomas) Collins, Lindsay (Tyler) Pellack, Larissa Harrison, son Jamison Gallant and son in regulation Anson Harrison. By his 5 grandson’s Theron and Ryder Collins, Jakob and Kobe Pellack, and Drew Harrison, and his 4 granddaughters Addisyn, Rori, Sevana, Jayda Gallant. His mom Mary, brother Glenn, (Cindy) and sisters Connie (Dave) and Debbie.
A Funeral Service will probably be held on the Immaculate Coronary heart of Mary Parish, 300-Eighth Avenue South, Martensville, Saskatchewan on Monday, January 13, 2025 at 1:00 pm adopted by a light-weight lunch and celebration.
