Derek Alvin Andrew Tibbel
1968 – 2024
We’re deeply saddened to announce Derek Tibbel handed away abruptly at his residence in Ramara, Ontario, on Tuesday December tenth 2024 on the age of 56.
Derek is survived his mom Faye Tibbel (nee Hammell) and predeceased by his father Wayne Tibbel (October thirty first 2024). He was a cherished sibling to Terri Tibbel-Mosher (Bruce Mosher) of Calgary, Alberta and Dwayne Tibbel (Sherry Peters) of Ullswater, Township of Muskoka Lakes. He was the beloved Uncle to Allison Fraser (Jon Fraser) of Port Carling, Ontario, Kara Lucas (Matt Lucas) of Shawnigan Lake, British Columbia and Trisha Tibbel (Don Sutherland) of Shawnigan Lake, British Columbia, Jon Mosher (Tianna Ellis) of Calgary, Alberta and Liam Mosher (Lauren Paquette) of Toronto, Ontario. He was the Nice Uncle of Owen (Bridgett MacKay), Scarlett and Abigail Fraser of Port Carling.
Derek grew up in Ullswater Ontario and attended Watt Public College and Bracebridge and Muskoka Lakes Secondary College.
He performed many sports activities along with his favourites being soccer and hockey. Derek was an ardent skidoo rider (a ardour he shared along with his brother Dwayne) and spent many thrilling journeys having fun with the paths of Ontario and Quebec. He all the time saved his love for hockey, soccer and bikes.
Whereas attending faculty, Derek labored as a prepare dinner at McDonald’s Restaurant in Bracebridge, at Fraser’s House {Hardware} in Port Carling and on the Township of Muskoka Lakes in Port Carling within the Parks and Cemeteries Division.
Derek graduated from Bracebridge and Muskoka Lakes Secondary College in 1986. He then graduated from Georgian School of Utilized Arts and Expertise (Barrie Campus – Regulation and Safety program of research). He later graduated from Aylmer Police School in 1989.
